Each class builds on the skills they learn from the previous week.

All equipment, food and utensils are supplied.

Simply arrive each week with an appetite to learn, closed in shoes and hair tied back. We suggest that you bring a large container to bring home some dinner for your families.

The classes are held in a private home in Marourbra.  The address will be released upon booking.  If you need to be aware of the proximity of the class for logistical reasons, please email our office.

*  Parents are welcome to stay for the duration of the class.

*  There are 2 staff members present for the duration of the class.  All of our staff have current paid Working With Children Checks.

Each participant will also receive their own Recipe Folder for the students to take notes and cook the recipes at home.

There are limited places available. Be quick to book so you don't miss out.  There is a minimum 6 children required to proceed.

SKILL LEVELS

Open Class - This class is open to children aged 6-14 years, who do not necessarily have any previous experience in the kitchen.

We are super happy to have kids who have already completed a year of Kindergarten.  This ensures they can keep up with the rest of the kids, and are able to concentrate for the full session.

Intermediate Class - This class is open to children aged 9-14 years and who are able to hold attention for 2 hours.  There is an expectation that the kids who complete this class have some experience in the basics of cooking.

Extended Class - This class is open to children 10-15 years who want to extend their skills and regularly cook at home.  There is an expectation that they have or are ready to use sharp knives, and can work with little supervision.

 Adult and Child Class - These sessions are open for 1 adult to bring along 1-2 children.  This is always a fun session working together and a lovely memory-making opportunity.  This is a fabulous opportunity for grandparents, aunties/uncles or any special adult, to spend some time working together.  Join up with a friend,, and attend as a group of friends.

Parents

Parents are welcome to stay and view the class from our venue foyers, or you can also leave your child with us for the workshop duration.  

Safety

Child Protection is our priority.  All of our Presenters have First Aid Certificates, Food Safety Supervision, and all staff have current NSW Working With Children Checks.
