Banana oat bliss balls
Makes 4-5 balls
Ingredients
(Individual)
1/2cup oats
1 Tablespoon of coconut
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 banana
1 tablespoon rice malt syrup
Pinch of salt.
Equipment
Measuring cups (1/2,)
Measuring spoons or large tablespoons. 1 Tablespoon measure
1 Teaspoon
1 sandwich zip lock bag.
Brown paper bags
7” flat plate for rolling coconut.
Medium bowls for serving coconut and cocoa.
Extra disposable spoons for serving the tahini and rice malt syrup.
Baking Paper for individual serves.
Small gloves for children to use.
Spatula’s for getting the dredges out of the bottom of the jars.
1. cut up the banana into pieces and place into their zip locl bag.
2. measure out the oats into their bag.
3. Measure out the Coconut.
4. Measure out the Cinnamon
5. Measure out the Rice Malt Syrup - It is easier if an adult or older child does this themselves, rather than the kids, as its incredible messy.
7. Pick up a pinch of salt.
8. Put on the disposable gloves if using.
8. Once everything is in the zip lock bag, squash the banana against the other dry ingredients, so that the ingredients end up in a squishy firm ball.
9. They can then divide the mixture into 4 balls, whilst the mixture is still inside the zip log bag.
10. Have each child take out 1 ball.
11. roll the ball in the coconut to coat it. Repeat with other balls.
12. Provide a new brown paper bag to put the finished balls in.
13. Place rubbish in bin and wipe the board. Wash up any utensils that you used.
