It’s Australia Day Celebration Time.
Today we’re celebrating the diversity of Australian food. The morning session will be Lamingtons, and this afternoon will be Lemon Myrtle Scones with Bush Plum Jam.
Session 1 - Lamingtons – Bake and Make
9-11.30am
This morning’s session will see the kids bake a vanilla pound cake, in readiness for some good old dipping and dunking of chocolately sauce and coconut- once the cakes are cooled.
Session 2 - Native Australian Foods Cooking
Lemon Myrtle Scones with Bush Plum Jam.
12.30-3pm
Bring home a jar of plum jam.
This is a fabulous workshop to bake some delicious scones, using some ancient foods twist.
In this session, we will discover and taste a range of native Australian foods - such as Davidson Plum, Finger lime, wattle seed, bush honey, riberry.
No nuts.
There is a minimum of 8 attendees required for this event to proceed.
Bookings close at 5pm 3 days prior to event.
Please attend the workshop with closed in shoes, and hair tied back (or a hat or scarf)
